I have found, by screwing my courage to the sticking place, that writing 300-500 words each day seems to make me a better writer, or so I say. I suspect it's the same with painting because once you get into the process both mentally and physically, ideas seem to come out of nowhere, some good, and some bad, but at least it's better than trying to edit or revise a blank piece of paper. So keep at it!
