what if the picture you make starts at one point and you lay down paper in front of it as it goes. instead of sitting down in front of a big canvas, what if it's about not filling up space but just taking the space you need. this picture is none of the black background, just the white shape, that's the paper the picture's drawn on. it started in the bottom left corner and went upwards and ends at the x, with the paper laid down, the 'canvas' taped together as necessary.
